When talking about the colour of a diamond, we actually refer to how colourless it is. The less colour it has in it, the higher the grade. The more colour such as a yellow tint, the lower the grade. Novita Diamonds recommends D - G colour diamonds.

Certificate
Diamond laboratories certify diamonds and issue reports that assess the characteristics of a diamond such as the stone's carat weight, cut, colour and clarity. Using specialised gemmological equipment, they ultimately determine the grading of the diamond. Proportion
Proportion refers to how the diamond's length is measured against its width. A diamond with a ratio of 1 has the same length and width. The larger the ratio, the more elongated the stone becomes when viewed from above.
